Our terms and costs.
Hiring or performance fee
Where a charity or organisation is running an event whose sole purpose is fundraising, Ministry of Rock will perform for no cost. Minimal costs may be required for sound & lighting equipment, and it is expected that the organisation of the event will be managed by the charity/organisation – please Sound and lighting equipment and Event logistics sections below.
For other events (parties, corporate events, etc), Ministry of Rock has chosen four charities or organisations we ask you to support with a donation in lieu of a performance fee for us. If there is another organisation you’d like support with a donation equal to check our performance fee, then we’re happy to discuss this with you – however, we reserve the right to elect not to support your chosen charity if we desire.
The donation amount will be equal to our performance fee, which will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Ministry of Rock will only perform upon confirmation of the donation made to the agreed charity for the negotiated amount equal to our performance fee.
Sound and lighting equipment
Ministry of Rock has its own sound & lighting equipment that will be suitable for most small-medium venues, such as function rooms, and small halls. At Ministry of Rock’s discretion, we may charge a small fee to cover the cost of a sound or lighting engineer to assist us. No charge will be requested for the use of our equipment.
It will be at the sole discretion of Ministry of Rock whether our equipment will suit the proposed event & venue. If we advise that our sound & lighting equipment will not suit the venue, the cost of hiring the required sound & lighting equipment will be entirely your (the hirer’s) responsibility. Ministry of Rock will advise our equipment requirements. Ministry of Rock will be happy to utilise our contacts to assist with arranging quotes and equipment hire.
Event logistics
Regardless of whether an event is a fundraiser for a not-for-profit organisation, or a party/corporate event (where a charity donation is being made in lieu of performance fee), it is expected that the organiser makes all other arrangements for the event. This includes, but is not limited to: event location, any permits/approvals, advertising, and where required, staging & P.A. systems (where Ministry of Rock has specified their own equipment will not suit).
Whilst Ministry of Rock enjoy performing for free to aid charities and not-for-profits, there is an expectation that a reasonable-sized audience will be in attendance (usually over 100 people, although this may be negotiated depending on the event).
